Peace of Mind, where every breath feels like coming home.

We will leave behind our routines, my to-do lists, and the familiar rhythm of everyday life to step into something softer, slower, and far more intentional. From 12–26 October 2026, we’ll be traveling to Koh Kood and Chanthaburi for a yoga retreat — two weeks dedicated to movement, meditation, and rediscovering what it feels like to breathe without rushing.

This trip is more than a holiday; it’s a conscious pause. A chance to wake up with the sun, practice under palm trees, listen to the ocean instead of notifications, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that become quiet when life gets loud. We are not going only for the rest, but for reset — to learn, to let go, and to make space for whatever wants to grow next.

Introduction

Our Thailand yoga retreat has been a yearly tradition since 2018, a journey that began with a simple idea: to bring a small group of students to a quiet, beautiful place where we could practice yoga twice a day and reconnect with ourselves. We discovered that place on the serene island of Koh Kood, and from our very first visit, something within us shifted.

It wasn’t just the turquoise water or the slow island rhythm that captured our hearts — it was the people. The locals welcomed us with a warmth that felt genuine and effortless, the kind of kindness that makes you feel like you’re coming home

Each time we return, the smiles are familiar, the greetings sincere, and the sense of belonging immediate.

Over the years, Koh Kood has become more than a retreat location; it has become part of our story. A place where friendships deepen, where breath slows, and where we remember what truly nourishes us. And so, once again, we return — ready to practice, to rest, to reconnect, and to be welcomed back by an island and a community we have grown to love.

What can you explore on Koh Kood

You can rent a motorbike and tour around the island. There are so many places at Koh Kood where you will enjoy nature and quiet time. Beautiful beaches around the island, local restaurants, and coffee shops. The waterfall (Klong Chao Waterfall) and Mangrove forest are very beautiful thereof you want to track in the jungle or rent a kayak and paddle up to the waterfall.

We will check out many local restaurants, take a cooking course, and a beautiful boat trip with snorkeling and an amazing sunset view. If you are interested in diving that can be arranged with a certified PADI instructor. We will make the most of the beach life.

Koh Kood is one of Thailand’s most picturesque islands, located in Trat Province. The island is a popular destination for ecotourism enthusiasts due to its unspoiled nature, crystal clear waters, lush rainforests, and stunning white beaches. The locals are very look after each other very low rate of crime. They care about the island they do not agree to develop the island with big chains of tourism or major franchises. You can still find many small local shops and restaurants.

SEA FAR RESORT

5 Reasons to Join a Yoga Retreat in Thailand

1. The Practice

Our retreat offers two yoga or Pilates sessions each day, giving you dedicated time on your mat to reconnect with your body and your breath. This is your chance to slow down, reflect, and nurture yourself. The goal is not only to deepen your practice during the retreat, but also to help you build habits you can bring home — little rituals that support your wellbeing long after the trip is over.

2. Rest & Refill

Rest is more than sleep — it’s stepping away from the noise, the commitments, and the constant rush. At the retreat, rest means taking things slowly, doing less, and giving yourself permission to breathe. Imagine reading by the water, listening to music, walking gently along the beach, watching sunsets, sleeping early, and moving at your own pace. There’s no hectic schedule on the island. We take each day as it comes.

3. The Food

Sea Far Resort is known for its fresh, nourishing, and delicious food. Every morning you’ll enjoy a local-style breakfast that is both vegan- and vegetarian-friendly. The kitchen serves flavorful Thai dishes, and you can sip fresh coconut straight from the trees in the backyard. The coffee shop offers not only great coffee but also homemade pastries that make your afternoon break feel extra special. Eating well is a big part of feeling well — and we encourage both.

4. The Sun, Sand, and Sea

The three S’s of Sea Far: sunshine, sand, and the sea. October is the perfect time to visit Koh Kood — warm but not too hot, with crystal-clear water and long stretches of soft white sand. The island’s natural beauty is healing in itself. Coming from a colder climate, you’ll soak up the sun, swim for hours, and enjoy the warmth so fully that time simply slips away. The beach becomes your favorite kind of therapy.

5. Meeting Like-Minded People

A retreat naturally brings together people seeking growth, balance, and connection. Joining a group of unfamiliar faces in a new place might push you outside your comfort zone, but that’s where the magic happens. You don’t need years of yoga or Pilates experience — just curiosity, openness, and a willingness to care for yourself. The group energy is uplifting, supportive, and inspiring. Many leave not only refreshed but with new friendships and meaningful connections.

After the retreat, we make a gentle transition back to everyday life with a two-night stay in Chanthaburi, a charming local province that many travelers overlook — which is exactly why we love it. Chanthaburi offers a completely different rhythm from the island: lively markets, colorful streets, friendly shop owners, and the unmistakable atmosphere of real, everyday Thailand.

Here, you can wander through small boutiques, pick up local crafts, try fresh tropical fruits, or simply enjoy the energy of a place that feels both peaceful and full of life. It’s the perfect opportunity for a little shopping, a final taste of Thai culture, and a chance to ease your way out of retreat mode before flying home.

Chanthaburi is our soft landing — a sweet ending to the journey, giving you time to reflect, reconnect, and savor the last moments of your Thailand adventure.

Meeting Chanisa & Marianne

In 2017, Chanisa visited Sea Far Resort for the very first time — and it was love at first sight. Something about the island, the peaceful rhythm of Koh Kood, and the kindness of the people touched her deeply. The following year, in 2018, she held her first yoga retreat there, and from that moment on, she made a heartfelt commitment: to return every single year.

For Chanisa, the retreat is much more than a program.
It’s a relationship.

“My retreat is not just for myself or the retreat members,” she shares. “I also do it for all the lovely staff at Sea Far and for the people of Koh Kood. The island and its people have a special charm that makes me want to support them in every way.”

Her connection to Sea Far and to the community has grown into a beautiful tradition — one built on gratitude, mutual support, and a genuine love for a place that has become a second home.

Meet Marianne

Marianne is a dedicated yoga teacher and certified personal trainer with a naturally positive, energetic presence that lifts everyone around her. She has a grounded and realistic approach to health, focusing on how simple, regular habits can create lasting wellbeing—both on and off the mat.

For Marianne, staying healthy isn’t about extremes. It’s about building a strong, balanced body and mind that can support life for the long run. She often shares that one of her biggest motivations is staying healthy and vital for her grandchildren—a perspective that brings warmth, wisdom, and authenticity to her teaching.

Marianne embodies what she teaches: she lives a healthy, active lifestyle and believes that feeling good in your body should be accessible, sustainable, and joyful. As an assistant teacher in the group, she offers attentive support, encouragement, and a steady, uplifting energy that helps participants feel seen, safe, and inspired throughout the retreat.
